This 5-mile-long mixed-use urban waterfront district is located along the Er-Hai Lake one the largest fresh water lakes in China. President Xi has initiated a storm water clean-up effort to restore the lake to the highest possible category of water quality. The focus of the local government is to develop this area into a World Class Tourist Destination with a balance between development and preservation. Our approach was to develop a master plan that follows a sustainable design that nurtures the instinctive bond between people and nature.
